Connecting School, Family, and Community

Professional school counselors are vital members of the education team. They help all students in the areas of academic achievement, personal/social development and career development, ensuring today's students become the productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow. Collaborating with administrators, teachers, parents and other community members to promote student achievement, professional school counselors address the needs of students through prevention and intervention programs that are a part of the comprehensive school counseling program.

Professional school counselors have a master's degree or higher in school counseling, meet the state certification/licensure standards and uphold ethical and professional standards of the American School Counseling Association.
